Memories kept under lock and key – introducing Maddie’s room in Beaumont Hall

A woman must have a room of her own – Virginia Woolf certainly got that one right. Maddie’s room, however, comes with its own share of emotional baggage.

There’s one room in the Mansion Maddie Boulton avoids more than any other, and even often-so-sneaky Ursula Boulton rarely ventures there.

Maddie’s old room has largely stayed the same since the tragic car crash that claimed the lives of her parents, Michael and Becky Boulton. Maddie was left to be raised by Grandma Ursula, who has always been quite reluctant to speak of the night when it all happened.

Play the game to reveal it all!

Lately, though, Maddie has started visiting her room more frequently; she’s been thinking of passing some of her old childhood toys to little Mason Wu. But these visits have stirred up unsettling memories.

But she was so young—how could she remember anything? And why now?

There are many questions that we’ve heard have begun to keep up at night. Where was Grandma Ursula during the crash? Who actually pulled her from the wreck?

Rumors have spread—overheard by the ever-nosy neighbors and eavesdropping townsfolk—that Maddie and Grandma Ursula have recently been discussing the incident.

It’s no surprise that the residents of Hopewell Bay are interested – Maddie's room is more than just a space, after all. It holds the echoes of a tragedy that shaped our town, connecting past, present, and future in ways that still ripple through the lives of everyone here. We didn’t dare to reach out to Maddie or Grandma Ursula for comments but an anonymous source confirmed that the conversation has seemed heated. Even quite loud. Some could even call it a screaming match.

Maddie was heard pressing her grandmother for more details about that fateful night, and Grandma Ursula, reluctantly, revealed more about the crash, the burning flames—and perhaps even the burning guilt she still carries over that night and its consequences.

What really happened in the moments that altered the course of Maddie’s life forever? Could the walls of her childhood room talk, if Grandma Ursula doesn’t?
