They say that there’s calm after the storm, but Hopewell Bay seems to be the exception that proves the rule. We braved the weather and stormed over to investigate.

The aftermath of the Mysterious Maelstrom has been marked by profound impact and cathartic chaos. While the city gardens are flourishing thanks to heavy rainfall and the townsfolk have welcomed new friends—like capybaras—the social fabric of the town has taken a hit. Neighbors are turning on each other, and at the epicenter of it all, one family is being blamed.

Tin cans tinted with secrets have left many townsfolk questioning the shady past of the tin can factory. To whom was Ignatius Boulton collecting Hopewell Bay’s secrets? And what about Ursula—was she aware of the factory’s secretive side hustle all along?

“Ursula… that’s why her hair is big, it’s full of secrets,” says a passer-by, wishing to remain anonymous.

“It’s clear the Boultons have something to do with all this. I can’t believe that one of those clandestine cans claimed that the Mayor’s closest advisor is his own teddy bear!”

The Mayor of Hopewell Bay, unsurprisingly, has been demanding that the Boultons take responsibility for cleaning up both the cans and the mess created by the words wrapped inside them.

Maddie Boulton has been spotted going in and out of City Hall, looking flustered and upset.

Local skateboarder-turned-plumber, Ash, gave us a comment while teaching young Mason and his capybara to perform a frontside pop shuvit. Ash admitted concern for the Boultons' well-being.

“Radical rumors are flying around the city,” Ash said.

“There’s something in the air. I don’t know what, but it ain’t good.”

After an anonymous tip, our reporting trip ended at Beaumont Hall’s door, which is now marked by a nasty-looking, red-painted graffiti that screams, "NEVER TRUST A BOULTON."

Is it true? Have the tin can tycoons truly fallen from grace? What’s bubbling under? We’re going to find out.

Can you trust Boultons? Our hotline is open and receiving tips.
