The whispers about the shadier side of the Boulton family business still linger, but what better way to deflect than by throwing a bash?

Just as the winds of Hopewell Bay settled down, the spooky season blew in, sweeping the collective thoughts of tin cans and the secrets they store out the door.

Well, almost.

The whispers about the shadier side of the Boulton family business still linger, but what better way to deflect than by throwing a bash? As the old Boulton saying goes, no body, no cri— wait, no, not that one. We mean—when in a rut, throw a party and strut!

Still, the family’s serving more tricks than treats—Ursula Boulton was reluctant to let the press into her exclusive spooky soirée—not even our Socialite Reporter, Holden—so we’ve only gotten second-hand accounts of this ghostly get-together.

We heard Deb Boulton dressed as an elderly witch and was seen hunting Hank with a cane (part of her costume) after the poor soul first couldn’t tell that she was in costume.

And Maddie Boulton? Apparently, a flawless doppelgänger of the magnificent Amelia Earhart.

But the most chilling costume of the night? An unknown guest dressed up as Al Capone, whom nobody was able to identify afterward, left the partygoers spooked.

An anonymous partygoer—dressed up as a cat, duh—recounted:

“Everyone thought it was good ol’ Roddy, but when he rolled in later as Kate Moss, we were like—wait a minute, who’s the mob boss?”

Who was this mysterious mafia figure, cozied up with Ursula Boulton? She hasn’t replied to our contact requests afterward, and we are starting to believe that she’s blocked our number.

It truly is the scariest season in Hopewell Bay… The town is covered in thick fog, the evenings are getting darker, and Lady Voyance’s Tarot card predictions are getting bleaker.
