Boy, it’s a pet shop out there – Meet the purr-fect Pets of Hopewell Bay!
Hopewell Bay’s fauna comes in many shapes and sizes – we’ve got claws, paws, and jaws. This time, to give our readers a break from uncovering endless mysteries, we’re introducing some of the pets in our city – old favorites and cute newcomers!
Goldie
Goldie is a Golden Retriever (we know, shocking) who first appeared in the town’s local animal shelter, her origins unknown. She was taken in by Maddie and has since struck up a friendship with Rufus. Together, Goldie and Rufus are a dynamic duo, sniffing out all the mansion’s secrets and keeping a keen eye on Grandma Ursula’s antics. True to her name, Goldie has a golden heart – her only downfall being her sensitive nose, which makes her easily distracted by squirrels, snacks, and sometimes mistaking squirrels for snacks.
Lil Reggie
Lil Reggie is a miniature horse gifted to Deb by her ex-husband, Count Reginald, as a nod to their shared history. Although the relationship between Deb and Count Reginald is yesterday’s news, Lil Reggie has quickly become Hopewell Bay’s favorite pint-sized prankster. With his penchant for mischief and four quick hooves, Lil Reggie is always where the action is, trying to outshine both Rufus and the big horses that barely even notice him.
Coco
Coco first caused a stir after the storm wreaked havoc around Hopewell Bay, when everyone mistook her for an oversized puppy, only to realize she’s actually a capybara! Mason, in particular, quickly took a liking to the radiant rodent, and Coco now resides with the Wus. Her origins remain a bit of a mystery – how on Earth did she travel all the way from the Amazon? Or is she a pet shop escapee after all? Perhaps time will tell…
Buddy
Buddy the baby alpaca arrived in Hopewell Bay under slightly mysterious circumstances, with no one knowing exactly where he came from. He first popped up in Cherry’s front yard and made his way around the neighborhood, nibbling on Julius’s antique garden ornaments and even taking a bite out of Deb’s prized corpse flower. After a string of alpaca-fueled adventures, Maddie finally agreed to welcome Buddy to the Mansion, where he now resides. Everyone’s excited to see Buddy grow – Maddie’s already received numerous requests for alpaca-wool socks for the upcoming cozy season!
